Mimì metallurgico ferito nell’onore

This sharp satire of 1970s Italy follows Mimì, a Sicilian worker whose refusal to vote for the Mafia’s candidate sets off a chain of consequences: he loses his job, his wife and his home. His fortunes begin to improve when he meets Fiorella and starts a new life, but the past inevitably returns in a crescendo of comic and absurd situations. Along the way, the film exposes political corruption and men’s obsessive relationship with honour. This presentation is a 4K restoration made from the negatives held by Cinecittà Studios and the Turin Cinematographic Archive.
