American Honey

With no prospects for the future, Star (Sasha Lane) leaves a troubled home and joins a group of young travelling salespeople crossing the American Midwest. Fascinated by their nomadic life of parties, excess and petty crime, she grows close to Jake (Shia LaBeouf), with whom she develops an intense but unstable relationship. As she escapes the responsibilities of adult life, the young woman tries to find her place in the world. Winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, this raw and vibrant road movie offers a hypnotic portrait of contemporary American youth.
