In January 2027, Ricardo Ribeiro brings his new album, A Alma Só Está Bem Onde Não Cabe, to Coliseu Porto Ageas on 29 January, in a show that marks a meeting between the purest tradition and the future of fado. His voice—“once heard, never forgotten”—has made him one of the essential names in contemporary fado. He began singing at the age of nine and performed in several fado houses, some of which he still visits monthly. In 2023, he released Terra Que Vale O Céu, which won Best Fado Album at the 2024 PLAY — Portuguese Music Awards. In 2025, he released the single Má Sorte, exploring different musical and cultural identities through the theme of duality. With a voice that makes us face life and death in a single breath, Ricardo Ribeiro continues to trace a path between traditional fado and the style’s future.
