Masterclass de Matías Piñeiro: Writing Tools

Argentine filmmaker Matías Piñeiro has developed his career at the intersection of literature and cinema. In recent years, he has made a series of fiction works called Las Shakespeariadas, reinterpreting the theatrical texts of William Shakespeare. For his most recent film, Tú me abrasas, he drew on a story by Cesare Pavese and enriched it with the poetry of Sappho. In this masterclass, Piñeiro discusses the transfer of the written or spoken word to the big screen: a journey through creative writing, from the conception of an idea to its mise-en-scène.
