Gilsons

The Brazilian trio Gilsons present their new album EU VEJO LUZ EM MAIOR PROPORÇÃO DO QUE EU VEJO ESCURIDÃO, the long-awaited successor to P'ra Gente Acordar. The first previews, “Minha Flor” and “Bem Me Quer”, mark this new phase. “Minha Flor” brings together three generations of the Veloso family in a historic collaboration: written with Arnaldo Antunes, it features Caetano, Moreno and Tom Veloso. “Bem Me Quer” renews the successful collaboration with Narcizinho Santos, also associated with “Várias Queixas”. Written after the death of Preta Gil, Fran’s mother, the album carries a special emotional weight and formed part of a collective healing process. José Gil produced it, balancing traditional acoustic elements with electronic beats. To present the album, the trio—José, João and Fran—announced a world tour through Portugal, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, New Zealand and Australia, making the Coliseu Porto Ageas concert a new chapter in their story.
