Especial Dia dos Mortos: Last Movies

Developed with the support of Batalha, this cinematic essay traces the last films watched by notable people before their deaths, imagining a history of cinema built from those final viewings. From Franz Kafka to Kurt Cobain, unusual coincidences reveal unexpected affinities across time and space. Narrated by Jeremy Irons, Last Movies is witty, original and radically unpredictable.

After two marathons lasting more than 17 hours, the project returns to Batalha as a feature film. Presented on the eve of All Souls’ Day, the screening becomes a tribute to the people who have died and to the images that accompanied them. The session is presented by Stanley Schtinter.
