Batalha Quiz: film, dance and tasting challenge

Some people watch the credits to understand how a film was made; others stay to pay tribute to the crew or use the silence to reflect on what they have seen. Others are simply waiting to confirm that they correctly identified the styling assistant because of a centre-parted hairstyle. Guilherme Cobretti and Jay Toso, infamous names in Porto’s quick-question, slow-answer circuit, are the quizmasters testing each person’s obsessive side of cinephilia. On the last Tuesday of every month, the Batalha Cafeteria & Bar becomes an arena where teams test their knowledge of cinema. Many questions connect to the Batalha programme, so regular attendance helps. There is no cost or registration: just turn up. Prizes will go to the winners, although the real reward is the right to boast about the victory until the following month.
